garden.com: garden.com is a gardening catalog that doubles as a gardening magazine. It offers thousands of products and also has scheduled chat sessions with expert gardeners.
Garden Guides: A magazine-style site that labels itself a "growing resource for gardeners," Garden Guides provides regularly updated articles and columns on gardening. A nice feature is the site's quide sheets covering flowers, vegetables and herbs. You can also subscribe to a weekly e-mail newsletter.
Garden Solutions: Foster and Gallagher, the huge catalog company specializing in garden goods, sponsors this site aimed at gardeners who prefer their horticultural products straight up. This site offers one-stop, no-hassle ordering options on everything from bulbs to trees and the tools you'll need to plant both. Weekly chats are offered.
Weather Underground: Local weather from Weather Underground, an Ann Arbor-based service that includes current conditions and an extended forecast. Fast-loading and comprehensive.

The Old Farmer's Almanac: The Old Farmer's Almanac has its own web site where you can look up the long range forecast for any month of the year, along with a bunch of other cool stuff. A great site to explore.
This Old House: This is the electronic version of the monthly magazine put out by the producers of the popular PBS television program that takes viewers step-by-step through house renovations. The web site also includes gardening pages.
Virtual Garden: A great site to explore for the home gardner, with lots and lots of information on everything from weekend projects to articles on how to pick out house plants. You can even look up a specific plant that you need information about.
The Landscape Garden Forum: This is the web site for Maureen Gilmer, the author of eight books on landscaping and gardening. Her site includes plant profiles, landscaping and gardening news, and articles on landscaping design.
Hometime: This takes you directly to the Landscape and Gardening section of Hometime's web site. There's lots of pages to explore here, including a visual guide to the various styles of home gardens. Even if you're not a fan of the PBS weekly how-to show, you'll love this web site.
Great Lakes Information Network: A listing of resources and links for information on plants in the Great Lakes Region. From there, you can go to the Grant Lakes Information Network home page, which has lots of information relating to the economy, environment, climate and other facets of the Great Lakes region.
North America Flora Project: Thinking about going native with your landscaping? Here's a comprehensive online guide to wildflowers and other native flora in North America, including classification and treatment of some 20,000 species.
Today's Homeowner - Yard and Garden: Lots of interesting stuff here, with articles on such things as when is the best time to plant a lawn, how to build a stylish shed, and when is the best time to prune your flowers.
